CONSIDER...
- Evening Prayer at 6:30p Sunday evenings during Lent. This simple
Vespers service guides our prayerful journey in Word and song
during this holy Season.
- While fasting often includes avoiding a particular
food or activity, sometimes Lent is a good time to consider fasting
from a bad habit or considering how our own actions affect others.
Perhaps your "fast" this Lent might include fostering
a "good" habit or developing a new routine.
- Brown Bags and Rice Bowls
are available in the east vestibule of the church. They are both
wonderful Lenten service projects. Please return brown bags and
rice bowls to the church by Palm Sunday, March 28.
LENTEN MISSION ~ "Remembering
Who We Are and Whose We Are"
March
7, 8 & 9, 2010 at 7p in the church.
We will not only be parishioners of Our Lady of
the Lake. We are God's people. We are washed and welcomed through
the waters of Baptism. We come together to proclaim and share
God's Word and stories of salvation. We celebrate being One Body
through the Eucharist. As we begin a new parish, Fr. Tom Dragga
will lead us in examining our new relationships with one another
and how we can be a stronger Catholic presence in the area and
the world.
The Mission
will be for ALL ages so bring your children, bring your family and
bring your friends. All are welcome!
Theology of the
Body for Teens

Great Gift
Idea! ~ Parish Anniversary Disc Set
We have created a DVD of our Parish History
using original parish pictures that trace our growth and development
with a written text to accompany them. Our parish is celebrating
its 85th year as we look to a new beginning with St. Crhistine Parish
in Febryary. A group of creative parishioners worked for weeks on
the writing of this history, and in the recording of memories form
each era of our time together. It is a 70 minute DVD - so a little
less than a minute for each year we have had together. You'll be
amazed at how much we covered. So, whether you have ben here for
85 years - or 50 years - or 5 years, you will find something to
connect with your story.
We encourage you to purchase one for yourself
or your family as part of your family history, or for former parishioners
or family members who have moved, or for any others who might be
interested.
The Parish History DVD is accompanied bya CD
of the Anniversary Liturgy celebrated on September 19, 2009. Bishop
Anthony M. Pilla's homily will continue to inspire you and the beautiful
sounds from our music ministry will amaze you!
The combined set is available for purchase at
the rectory for $20. We have a limited number available, so please
consider getting them sooner rather than later!
Holy Cross Memorabilia is also available for
sale (while supplies last).
Cat's Meow Church $10.00
Pewter Ornaments $5.00
Key Chains $2.00
