CHILDREN'S LITURGY OF THE WORD Children's Liturgy of the Word takes place during the 9:30 am and 11:30 am Sunday Liturgies. After the Gathering Rite, children ages 5 through 12 are invited to a separate area where they proclaim, celebrate and reflect on God's Word led by a parish Minister of the Word. Children's readings are designed to be more readily understandable and meaningful to the younger assembly. The children return to the adult community for the celebration of the Eucharist and remainder of Mass.
Adults are welcome to become ministers at any time. We provide preparation materials and lots of help! After observing some sessions, ministers sign up for Masses at which they would like to preside (about once every 5-6 weeks).
